Today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 266, which will abolish the DEI bureaucracy in all of the state’s public universities, reform faculty hiring procedures, and bring balance back to the higher education system.
I joined the governor for the signing ceremony, held at New College of Florida, where we celebrated this historic victory. And, this afternoon, I’d like to share the inside story of this campaign and provide a behind-the-scenes look at how the fight to “abolish the DEI bureaucracy” went from concept to settled law.
